# Website footer

> How to set up the bottom part of the school website: sections with links, contacts, addresses, signature and the line with company details.

The footer is the bottom part of the school website. It collects your sections with links, the school's contacts and addresses, company details, links to legal documents and a short signature.

You set up the footer in **My school → Settings → Catalog and footer** (in a corporate school — **Company → Settings → Catalog and footer**). There are three blocks: **Footer settings**, **School contacts** and **School addresses (branches)** (in a corporate school — **Company contacts** and **Company addresses**). All fields are saved automatically.

## Where the footer is visible

The footer is shown at the bottom of pages in the web version of the website. It isn't shown:

* in the mobile app;
* on control panel pages;
* in the messenger and the knowledge base;
* on pages that open full screen.

## What the footer consists of

From top to bottom:

| Part | Where it comes from |
| - | - |
| Your sections with links | The **Footer settings** block, up to three sections |
| The **Contacts** section | The **School contacts** and **School addresses (branches)** blocks. Appears if at least one contact or address is filled in |
| Mobile app block | Buttons for going to the app download. Added automatically |
| Language switch | Only in the mobile version of the website and only if the school has more than one language |
| Line with company details and documents | Organization name, year, TIN and links to all of the school's legal documents |
| Footer signature | The **Footer signature** field |
| The “Powered by exode” label | Hidden if this is included in the school's tariff |

## Sections with links

**1. Add a section**

Click **Add section**. You can add up to three sections — after the third, the button becomes inactive.

**2. Name the section**

Fill in the **Section title** — up to 100 characters. You can translate the title into the school's other languages.

**3. Fill in the links**

A new section already has one empty row. Enter the link **Title** — up to 35 characters — and the **Link** itself. To add another row, click **Add item**.

**4. Remove what you don't need**

The delete button next to a row removes it. The trash icon next to the **Section №…** heading removes the whole section — after you confirm **Delete section?**.

How links work for visitors:

* A link to a page of your school, for example `/catalog`, opens inside the website.
* A link to another website opens in a new tab.
* Rows without a title aren't shown. A section without a title and without filled-in rows is hidden too.
* On a phone, sections collapse and expand when you tap the heading.

> [!TIP]
>
> Footer sections are a convenient place for links to the “About the school” page, the offer and the rules. The legal documents themselves get into the footer automatically (commercial schools only) — you don't need to add them manually. Learn more in [Legal documents](https://faq.exode.biz/en/online-schools/legal/overview.md).

## School contacts

In the **School contacts** block, you can add up to three contacts. Each contact has its own role: **Support**, **Manager** or **Director**. You can't choose the same role twice.

| Field | Limit | What it looks like in the footer |
| - | - | - |
| **Name** | Up to 38 characters | A link to the messenger, if it is specified |
| **Phone number (you can enter multiple, separated by a comma)** | Up to 31 characters | Each number is a separate link for calling |
| **Email** | Up to 38 characters | A link for writing an email |
| **Messenger link** | — | Opens when you click the name |
| **Role** | One of three | A caption above the contact |

### Why you need the “Support” contact

The messenger link from the contact with the **Support** role is used not only in the footer. It is the target of:

* the **Contact support** item in the students' **Menu** tab;
* the **Contact support** button on the login page;
* the **Contact support** button in the **Device limit exceeded** window;
* the **School support** link on the “School is archived” screen that visitors of an archived school's website see.

While there is no such link, staff with access to the design see an **Add support contact** button in the left menu.

## School addresses

In the **School addresses (branches)** block, click **Add address**. The number of addresses is not limited.

| Field | What it looks like in the footer |
| - | - |
| **Title** | A caption above the address, for example the branch name |
| **Address** | The address text. If a location link is specified, the address becomes a link |
| **Link to location** | Opens when you click the address, for example a map |

The trash icon next to the **Address №…** heading removes an address.

## Line with company details

In the line under the sections, the platform shows the © sign, the organization name, the current year and the TIN. The name and the TIN come from the **Legal data** section. If the organization name is not filled in, the school name is shown. The TIN is shown only if it is specified.

Next to it are links to all documents from the **Legal data** section.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The **Legal data** section exists only in commercial schools. In a corporate school, the line is built by the same rules, but you can't change the organization name, the TIN or the list of documents in the settings.

## Footer signature

The **Footer signature** field is under the sections in the **Footer settings** block. The limit is 150 characters. The text is shown under the line with company details. For example, it can be a copyright notice or a short description of the school.

## Frequently asked questions

> **Why is the “Add section” button inactive?**
>
> The footer already has three sections — that's the maximum. Delete one of the sections or add links to the existing ones.

> **Why isn't a link title with translations saved?**
>
> A link title is stored together with all its translations, and the total limit is 100 characters. If you translated the title into several languages, shorten the versions.

> **I added a section, but it isn't on the website. Why?**
>
> Check that the section has a title or at least one row with a link title. Empty sections and rows aren't shown. Also, there is no footer in the app, in the control panel, in the messenger and in the knowledge base.

> **How do I add the offer and the privacy policy to the footer?**
>
> Add the documents in **My school → Legal data** (commercial schools only). Links to them appear in the footer automatically. Learn more in [Legal documents](https://faq.exode.biz/en/online-schools/legal/overview.md).

> **Why can't I choose the “Support” role for a contact?**
>
> Another contact already has this role. Each role is used once. Change the role of the other contact or delete it.

> **Where do I change the organization name and TIN in the footer?**
>
> In **My school → Legal data**, in the **Company details** block (commercial schools only).

> **How do I remove the “Powered by exode” label?**
>
> The label is hidden automatically on tariffs that include this option. There is no switch in the settings. Learn more in [Tariffs](https://faq.exode.biz/en/online-schools/getting-started/subscription-plans.md).
