You set up course sales in the Launch and tariffs menu item. The launch controls whether the course is on sale right now and on which dates. Tariffs control the price, the payment method and the group the student joins. No moderation is needed: a course goes on sale as soon as the launch is on and there is an active tariff. To work with launches and tariffs, you need the Product management permission.

How it works

  • When a course is created, the platform creates one launch on its own — “Launch #1”. For a paid course it is on right away, for a free course it is off.
  • A course usually has one launch, so the menu item is called Launch and tariffs and opens its settings. If there are several launches, the item is called Launches and shows their list with a Create launch button.
  • A course is on sale when the launch is on and not archived, the current date falls within the sales dates and, for a paid course, there is at least one active tariff.
  • Sales dates are checked when the page is opened. There is no separate scheduled job that turns the launch on or off: the course simply starts or stops selling when the date comes.

Launch settings

Access type

At the top of the page, there are two cards: Paid course — access after payment by the launch tariffs, Free course — students enroll without payment. Changing the type requires confirmation. For a free course, the tariffs block is hidden.

Turning sales on

The switch controls whether the launch is open for purchase or enrollment. The launch status is shown next to the switch:

Sales dates

Dates are set in the Advanced settings block. Rules:
  • Both dates are optional. Without dates, the course is on sale the whole time the launch is on.
  • The start date can’t be later than the end date.
  • Time is set in your time zone.
  • Date changes are saved with the Save button.
  • If the new launch dates no longer cover the tariff dates, the tariff dates automatically shift to the launch boundaries.
Launch dates limit only sales and enrollment. Students who already have access keep learning after sales end.

Launch title

The Launch title field appears only if the course has several launches. The title is from 5 to 65 characters. The platform names a single launch on its own.

Launch archive

The Advanced settings block has an Archive button. An archived launch is turned off and stops selling the course. To turn sales on again, click Restore and then turn on the sales switch.

Tariffs

Tariffs are created in the Launch tariffs block under the launch settings. One launch can have several tariffs.

Tariff types

Click Create a tariff and choose the type: The tariff type can’t be changed after creation. Learn more about installments and subscriptions in Payment types and Installments.

Tariff fields

In the Advanced tariff settings block: A saved tariff of any type except “External link” has a Payment link. You can copy it and send it to a student.
If a launch has more than one tariff, the interface recommends adding at least three options to each. This makes it easier for a student to compare tariffs.

When a tariff is active

A tariff is available for purchase when all conditions are met:
  • Tariff activity is on;
  • the tariff is not archived;
  • the current date falls within the tariff dates, if they are set;
  • the launch is on sale.
In the tariff list, a hint on the tariff shows which condition isn’t met: the activity flag or the tariff dates.

What the student gets after payment

1

Access to the course

The student becomes a course participant, and their learning opens.
2

A place in a group

The student joins the group selected in the tariff. The group defines the lesson opening schedule, deadlines, chats and the access period.
3

Access period

The period is set not in the tariff but in the group settings: Access restriction → Limit access time to the course. If the restriction is off, access is unlimited. See Group settings.
If a student is in several groups of the course, access is unlimited when at least one group has no restriction. If all groups have a restriction, the latest end date applies. A student enrolls in a free course without a tariff and joins the most recently created group of the course. Enrollment is possible only within the launch’s enrollment dates: outside them, enrollment is rejected with a message that enrollment in the course is currently closed. Invite links do not depend on the enrollment dates.

Limits

Below the tariffs, there is the Invite links block. With such a link, a student enrolls in the course without payment, even if the course is paid. For a link, you can choose the enrollment group and limit the validity period and the number of enrollments. The link works while the launch is on and not archived, and it doesn’t depend on the sales dates.

Frequently asked questions

Check in order: whether Launch on sale is on; whether the launch and the course are archived; whether the sales dates have ended; whether Tariff activity is on; whether today’s date falls within the tariff dates. The “No active tariffs” status next to the switch means that no tariff is active right now.
No. There is no moderation for school courses. The launch starts selling the course right after you turn it on.
No. Without dates, the course is on sale the whole time the launch is on. Dates are needed to open or close sales at a specific moment.
Nothing changes. The end of sales closes only purchase and enrollment. The access period of students who already bought the course is set in their group settings.
In the settings of the group specified in the tariff: Access restriction → Limit access time to the course. If you need different periods for different tariffs, specify different groups in the tariffs.
No. A launch and a tariff have no seat limit. You can limit the number of enrollments only for an invite link — the Enrollment limit field.
Create a separate tariff and turn on Access by link only. The tariff doesn’t appear on the course page. Copy the Payment link and send it to the student.
Most likely, all active tariffs are marked Access by link only. The course counts as on sale, but hidden tariffs are not shown on the course page. It can be bought only by a direct payment link.
“A tariff with this name already exists” — this launch already has a tariff with this name. “Dates do not align with the launch” — the tariff dates go beyond the launch sales dates. “The value should be less than the price without a discount” — the current price is not less than the old price.
In the school currency. It is shown to the right of the price field. You can’t set another currency for a single tariff.
Turn off Launch on sale. The course disappears from the catalog, and students with access keep learning. To remove one tariff, turn off its Tariff activity or archive it.
Create an invite link in the Invite links block. Students enroll with it without payment, while the course keeps selling by tariffs. You can also add students manually: see Adding to a course.
