Corporate mode is the version of Exode for training employees inside a company. Courses, lessons, practice, groups and certificates work the same way as in an online school. But instead of sales and payments, the company has an organization structure: departments, positions, grades and absence tracking. Courses are not sold. They are assigned to employees manually, via a link or automatically by rules.

How corporate mode is turned on

The mode is set for the whole company at once. There is no switch in the settings: the Exode team turns on corporate mode when the company is connected or on request to support.
If you move an online school that is already running to corporate mode, all its courses become free and hidden from the catalog, and its users are placed in the default department. See Company connection and setup for details.

How corporate mode differs from an online school

What is turned off

A company has no money and no sales, so everything related to them is removed from the interface: All company courses are free. This rule always applies, and you cannot change it in the course settings.

What is added

What has a different name

What changes by default

  • The company is closed for registration. A new corporate company is created as private: only people added by an administrator or invited via a link can sign up.
  • A new course is hidden from the catalog. An employee gets it by assignment until you open enrollment.
  • A new course is visible only to its editors. Other administrators do not see the course until you open it to the whole team. Practice in it is checked only by the curators of this course’s groups.
  • The tariff is changed by an Exode manager. You cannot change the tariff or extend access yourself. For this, the interface has a button to send a request to support.
