This section is for developers and integrators who connect the school to CRMs, HR systems, bots, ad accounts and their own services. It gives an overview of the tools: what each one does, where it is set up and where to look for details. A school owner does not need this section for everyday work: all settings are available in the interface.

Where the tools are

The developer tools are collected in Control panel → My school → For developers (in a corporate school — Control panel → Company → For developers):
  • Webhooks — notifications about school events sent to your server;
  • API keys — access to the school API;
  • Custom code — your own scripts and styles on the school website;
  • API documentation — a link to the developer reference docs.exode.biz.

Integration tools

Typical tasks

What you need to know

  • All API requests are made on behalf of a key. A key is a service user of the school with its own permissions. Only the school owner can issue keys, and a school can have no more than 5 keys.
  • Every request needs the school identifiers. Seller-Id and School-Id are shown in the Integration data block on the API keys page.
  • Webhooks are set up only in the control panel. You cannot manage them through the API. A school can have no more than 5 webhooks.
  • The set of features depends on the type of school. Corporate schools have no payment events, while the methods for employees and organization structure, on the contrary, work only in them.
  • Keep secrets on the server. Do not put the API key token or the webhook secret into custom code: any visitor of the school can see it.

Frequently asked questions

At docs.exode.biz. The link is also in My school → For developers → API documentation (in a corporate school — Company → For developers → API documentation) and on the API keys page.
For webhooks and the API, you need a service that receives or sends requests. It can be your own server, a ready-made connector or an automation service that can receive POST requests. You can add pixels and counters to custom code without programming.
Write to Exode support and describe the task: what data you need and what the method should do. How to make a request is described in the documentation — Request an API method.
The API is requests from your server to the school: to get data or change something. Webhooks are requests from the school to your server when something happens. They are usually used together: a webhook reports an event, and the API lets you request details or perform an action.
Yes, on the CSS tab of the Custom code section. Keep in mind that the platform’s design may change with updates, and rules tied to internal classes may stop working.
The API and webhooks do not depend on where the student studies: events in the app are the same as on the website. The mobile app opens the school website, so custom code loads in it too.
