You create a course in a couple of clicks: you choose the type, enter a title and decide whether it is paid or free. The platform sets up the rest — the launch, the group, the authorship — on its own. School courses don’t need moderation: a course goes on sale as soon as it has an active launch and, for a paid course, an active tariff.
In a corporate school, a course is always free: there is no Access type step, the launch is on right away, a new course is hidden from the catalog, and enrollment is set up in the Access & assignments item. Learn more in Courses in a company.

How to create a course

To create courses, you need the Course management permission.
1

Open the section of the right type

In the Courses menu, select Video courses, Text courses or Course bundles. The course type depends on the section. See Course types.
2

Click the create button

Click Create a video course (the button name depends on the section) and choose Create manually — an empty course that you fill in yourself. The Create with AI option opens a wizard that builds the structure and lessons from a description.
3

Enter the title

The title is required, from 1 to 130 characters. You can change it later in the course settings.
4

Choose the access type (commercial schools only)

Paid — access opens after payment by tariffs. Free — students enroll without payment. You can change the access type later.
5

Click “Create”

The course management opens. Next, fill in the content, design the card and set up sales or, in a corporate school, enrollment.
The data you enter in the form is saved as a draft in your browser. If you close the window by accident, the values are restored the next time you open the form.

What the platform does automatically

Right after creation, the course gets:
  • a launch named “Launch #1”. For a paid course it is turned on right away, for a free course it stays off until you turn on enrollment. In a corporate school, the launch is on right away;
  • a group “Group 1” for students;
  • an author and an editor — the employee who created the course.
The course is included in the catalog right away, but students can see it only after the launch is on sale. In a corporate school, a new course is hidden from the catalog.

Limits

When the tariff limit is reached, the platform offers to switch to a suitable tariff. See Subscription and tariffs. In a corporate school, a Request a tariff upgrade button appears instead of the tariff choice.

What to do after creation

1

Fill in the content

In the Content menu item, create modules and lessons. Students see lessons only after they are published. See Creating lessons and modules.
2

Design the course

In Settings, add a description, tags, logo, cover and promo video. See Course settings.
3

Set up sales (commercial schools only)

In the Launch and tariffs menu item, turn on the launch and create at least one tariff for a paid course. See Launch and tariffs. In a corporate school, choose the enrollment methods in Access & assignments instead — see Courses in a company.

When a course appears in the catalog

School courses have no separate publish button and no moderator review. In a corporate school, the conditions are different — see Courses in a company. In a commercial school, a course is visible in the catalog when all conditions are met: If you turn on Show in catalog while the launch is not on sale, a warning “The course will not appear in the catalog” and a To launch settings button appear under the switch.
  • The course is on sale but hidden from the catalog — the page opens by direct link. This way you can sell a course only to your own audience.
  • The course is not on sale — the page is closed to everyone except students with active access and school employees. The exception is a course inside a bundle that is visible in the catalog: its page opens from the bundle.
Commercial schools only. In a corporate school, a course is always free.
You can change the access type at any time in two ways:
  • in the Launch and tariffs menu item — the Paid course and Free course cards;
  • in the course card menu in the list — Switch to paid or Switch to free.
The platform asks you to confirm the change. After switching to a free course, the tariffs block is hidden and students enroll without payment. After switching to a paid course, check the tariffs in the launch.

Course copy

The Create a copy action is available in Settings → Main and in the course card menu. Copying runs in the background, and the progress is shown in percent. When the copy is ready, you see the message “Copy successfully created” and a Go to button. Limits: you can’t copy course bundles; a copy counts toward the “Total courses” limit; no more than 10 copies per hour.
In a commercial school, the launch of a free course copy is turned off. Turn on Enrollment is active in Launch and tariffs, otherwise nobody can enroll in the copy.

Archive and deletion

Courses are not deleted permanently — they are moved to the archive.
1

Send the course to the archive

In Settings → Main, click Remove from list and archive. Or select Delete course in the course card menu and confirm the deletion.
2

Find the archived course

In the course list, switch to Archive. The section is called “Archived courses”.
3

Restore the course if needed

Click Return to list in the course settings or Restore course in the card menu. A restored course counts toward the “Total courses” limit again: if the limit is used up, a window for changing the tariff opens.
What happens to an archived course:
  • it disappears from the catalog, and nobody can buy it or enroll in it;
  • students who already have access continue learning;
  • the course no longer counts toward the “Total courses” limit of the tariff;
  • the course settings show a warning that the course is archived.

Frequently asked questions

No. School courses are not reviewed by platform moderators. In a commercial school, a course goes on sale when the launch is on and, for a paid course, there is an active tariff.
Check the conditions from the “When a course appears in the catalog” section: whether the launch is on, whether the sales dates have ended, whether a paid course has an active tariff, whether Show in catalog is on and whether the course is archived. In a corporate school, a new course is hidden from the catalog — see Courses in a company.
In a commercial school, the launch of a free course is off after creation. Open Launch and tariffs and turn on Enrollment is active.
Possible reasons: the “Total courses” limit of the school tariff is reached, you don’t have the Course management permission, or more than 30 courses were created in the last hour. To free up space in the limit, send unneeded courses to the archive.
There is no permanent deletion. You can only send a course to the archive. An archived course is not visible in the catalog and doesn’t count toward the course limit, and its students keep their access.
Students with active access continue learning. New students can’t buy the course or enroll in it.
No. The copy is created without students, groups, reviews and the course address. The full table is in the “Course copy” section.
Yes, in a commercial school. In Launch and tariffs, select Free course, or click Switch to free in the card menu. The course becomes available to everyone without payment.
Copying bundles is not available. Create a new bundle and add the same courses to it.
