In the course settings, you set everything a student sees in the catalog and on the course page: the title, description, tags, logo, cover, promo video and card color. This is also where you turn on content protection, choose the lesson order and decide who on the team can see the course. Go to Courses, select a course and open the Settings menu item. It has five subsections: Main, Appearance and design, Authors and editors, Reviews, Questions & answers.

How it works

  • Most fields are saved automatically right after you change them. There is no separate save button. The exceptions are the course address in the SEO block (the Save url button), the editors list and the review cards (the Save button).
  • To change the settings, you need the Course management permission.
  • Some settings are hidden for a course bundle, because it has no lessons of its own. Learn more in Course bundles.
  • Prices and sales dates are not set here, but in the Launch and tariffs menu item (commercial schools only). See Launch and tariffs. In a corporate school, there is an Access & assignments item instead — see Courses in a company.

Main settings

The Settings → Main subsection holds the key course data. The title field label adapts to the course type: “Title of the video course”, “Title of the text course”, “Title of the course bundle”.

Switches

Both protections are described in Content protection. If your school has several languages, the Course languages block appears below. Lesson content is filled in the main language, and you can’t remove it. Blocks are translated into the other languages inside the lesson itself, and the student chooses the lesson language. See Languages.

Tags and labels

Type a tag and press Enter. The clear icon on the right removes all tags at once.
A tag that starts with the # symbol becomes a label on the course card. For example, the tag #Bestseller shows a “Bestseller” badge on the card. The card shows no more than two labels.
All tags, including labels, are added to the course page keywords. Learn more in SEO optimization.

Chat with the curator

The Chat with the curator block controls the chat button in lessons. By default, the button is on and opens a conversation on the platform.
1

Turn the button on or off

The Show the chat button in lessons switch hides or shows the button for all students of the course.
2

Choose where the button leads

Inside the platform — a conversation with the curator inside the platform. External link — the link opens in a new tab, for example a Telegram chat.
3

Enter the link for an external chat

The link must be a valid URL up to 255 characters long. If you choose an external link and leave the field empty, the button doesn’t appear in lessons.

Course actions

At the bottom of the Main subsection, there are two actions:
  • Create a copy — creates an exact copy of the course without students. Not available for course bundles.
  • Remove from list and archive — moves the course to the archive. The course can no longer be bought (in a corporate school — enrolled in), but current students keep their access. For an archived course, the button is called Return to list.
What exactly is copied and how the archive works is described in Creating courses.

Appearance and design

The Settings → Appearance and design subsection controls how the course card and course page look.

Card settings

Branding

You can edit an image in the editor before uploading it. In the Custom link when clicking the card field, enter an external address, for example your landing page. If the link is set, a click on the card in the catalog opens this link instead of the standard course page. The link must be a valid URL up to 255 characters long.

SEO

The SEO block (commercial schools only) holds the human-friendly course address and SEO tags. Learn more in SEO optimization.

Authors and editors

The Settings → Authors and editors subsection defines who students see as the course authors and who on the team can work with the course.

Authors on the course page

Authors are shown to students in the course information. Find a user with the search and add them to the list. The person who created the course becomes an author automatically.
Author status doesn’t give the right to edit the course. Rights are granted separately — in the employee’s access rights and in the Visibility for the team block.

Visibility for the team

This block defines which school employees can see and edit the course. It doesn’t affect student access. Both switches are on by default. In a corporate school, a new course is created with both switches off — see Roles and permissions in a company. When you turn off the first switch, the Editors list appears. Editors can edit and see this specific course, even when it is hidden from the rest of the team. The course creator is added to the editors automatically. Employees with the School organization management or School team management permission (in a corporate school — Company management or Company employees management) can change the list.
While the editors list is empty, turning off the “Available to all editors” setting won’t be saved. Add at least one editor.
Curators are not assigned to a course directly. For a curator to see the practices of a group’s students, add them as a curator of that group. See Group settings.

Reviews and questions

  • Reviews — moderation of student reviews and rating collection settings. See Reviews.
  • Questions & answers — the FAQ block on the course page. For each question, you set the question text, the answer, whether it is active and the Answer is expanded by default mode. Inactive questions are not visible to users.

Other course menu items

A course bundle doesn’t have the Gamification, Certificates and Assignment checking items.

Frequently asked questions

No. The title, description, tags, switches, colors and images are saved automatically. You only need to click a button when you change the course address — Save url — and when you change the editors list or moderate reviews — Save.
Add a tag that starts with # to Tags and labels, for example #New. The card shows it without the # symbol. No more than two such labels are shown at a time.
The logo is a square image shown on the card and in the course link preview in messengers. The card cover is the main image of the card, and it doesn’t have to be cropped to a square.
Open Settings → Appearance and design and turn off Show enrollment count in the Card settings block.
Yes. Enter the address in the Custom link when clicking the card field. A click on the card opens your link instead of the standard course page.
No. Authors are only shown to students in the course information. For an employee to edit the course, give them the Course management permission and, if the course is hidden from the team, add them to Editors. See Access rights.
In Settings → Authors and editors, turn off Available to all editors according to their roles and add the right people to the Editors list. Other employees will stop seeing the course. Students won’t notice this change.
A bundle has no lessons of its own, so these settings don’t apply to it. Protection, lesson order and the curator chat are set up in each course included in the bundle.
In Settings → Main, in the Chat with the curator block, turn off Show the chat button in lessons.
The Show in catalog switch works only together with an active launch. The course appears in the catalog when the launch is published and on sale, and a paid course has at least one active tariff. See Launch and tariffs. The conditions for a corporate school are in Courses in a company.
