Every submitted attempt goes to the school’s curators. Auto-checked tasks are already graded by the platform, and detailed answers wait for a person to check them. The curator sets points, chooses the final status and talks to the student in the chat. The student gets a message with the result right away.

Who checks the work

Employees with the “Course curator” permission can check practice, either for all courses or for a specific course. The “Course management” permission also opens the Practice section, but in view-only mode: you see the list of work, statuses and scores, but you can’t grade work or open the practice chat. The “Course student management” permission does not open the Practice section. Learn more in Access rights.
  • If a student has an assigned curator, each of their new attempts is automatically assigned to this curator.
  • If the curator is assigned later, they get all of the student’s attempts that did not have a curator yet.
  • If curator access is restricted in the course settings, the curator sees only the work of students in their groups and the work assigned to them. In a corporate school, a new course is created with this restriction: learn more in Roles and permissions in a company.
You can assign a curator to a student in the student card. Learn more in User card.

Where to find the work

  • Practice in the left menu (the “Check center” section): the “Practice check” table with all the school’s work.
  • Assignment checking in the course menu: the same table filtered by course.
  • The student’s chat with the curator: after submission, the student posts “My practice for lesson ”…”” there with a work card.
The table shows the student, the status and time of the last action, the lesson, the attempt number, the submission date and the points. Work submitted after the practice deadline or the group deadline is marked “Late”. Table filters:
  • by status, curator, course and lesson;
  • by submission date;
  • Assigned to me: only work assigned to you;
  • work of deleted users.
Click a row to open the work in the dialog with the student.

How to check work

1

Open the work

Click the work in the table. The dialog with the student opens, and in it, the attempt card: lesson, mode, status, attempt number, variant and threshold. If you are not a participant of this chat yet, click Join, and the review tools appear.
2

Expand the answers

Click the card to see the student’s answers. The curator always sees the correct answers, regardless of the practice mode.
3

Set the points

Next to each answered task, choose the points, from 0 to the task maximum. You can change points for auto-checked tasks too. To save only the points without changing the status, click Save points.
4

Choose the status

In the list of statuses, choose Completed, Fail or Needs revision. For work that is “Under review”, Completed is selected by default. If the practice has a threshold, you see the hint “Scored X % of the Y % threshold” next to it.
5

Send the result

Click Send. The points and status are saved, and the student gets the message “Practice checked, result: ”…”” in the chat.
The curator chooses the status: the platform does not compare it with the threshold. You can accept work below the threshold or fail work above it.

What happens after the check

  • When work is returned for revision, the attempt opens only if the student has no other unfinished attempt for this practice.
  • After resubmission, the work is checked again: if the variant has a detailed answer, it goes back to the curator with the Under review status.
  • If the lesson was already passed, its status is not lowered when the attempt status changes.
  • With free lesson progression, a passed practice does not complete the lesson: the student marks it with the Mark lesson as completed button.

Resetting attempts

If the student has used up the limit, they see “No attempts left” and a hint to ask the curator to reset the attempts.
  1. Open the student’s latest work for this practice.
  2. Click Reset attempts.
This attempt and all of the student’s earlier attempts for the practice stop counting toward the limit. So reset from the latest attempt: attempts later than the one you opened keep counting. The student gets the full limit again, and the next attempt counts as the first one for variant distribution. Previous attempts and their results stay in the history. The button is visible only if the practice has an attempt limit.

Checking with AI

In the desktop version, there is a Check with AI button under the work card. It opens the school’s AI assistant with a ready request: assess the detailed answers, suggest points with an explanation and ask for your confirmation.
  • AI only suggests points and a comment. It changes nothing without your confirmation.
  • The curator sets the final grade.
  • The button is visible to employees with the curator permission if the AI assistant is available in the school.

If you changed the correct answer

Points for auto-checked tasks are fixed at the moment of answering. If you fixed the correct options or the maximum points, run Recheck answers in the task menu in the practice. The attempt points are updated, but their statuses are not. Learn more in Task types.

Frequently asked questions

Work is assigned to the curator assigned to the student. If no curator is assigned, the table shows “Curator not assigned”. If curator access to the course is restricted, you see only the work of students in your groups and the work assigned to you.
Open the work, choose the Needs revision status and click Send. The student gets a message in the chat and can fix the answers in the same attempt. No attempt is used up.
Open the attempt, choose the Completed status and click Send. The lesson counts as completed, and with sequential progression the next one opens.
Open their latest work for this practice and click Reset attempts. The student gets the full attempt limit again.
Yes. In the expanded attempt card, choose different points for the task and click Save points or Send. You can set points only for tasks the student answered.
After the status changes, the student gets a message in the chat with the curator: “Practice checked, result: ”…””. The result is also visible in the list of attempts in the lesson.
The curator always sees the work with the correct answers. The student sees the result according to the practice mode: in Testing and Exam modes, the correct answers are hidden.
The work was submitted after the practice deadline or after the group deadline. If “Reduce points” is selected in the group deadline, the attempt points are already reduced by 20%, at least by 1 point.
The review tools are visible to curators who take part in the chat with the student. Click Join in the dialog. If there is no such button, check that you have the “Course curator” permission. With only the “Course management” permission, work is available in view-only mode.
